Golf Tips for the Weekend Golfer
The golf tips you find here will be of a great variety. There just might be a tip here that will help you immediately improve your golf scores. I love golf and have fun playing it but I have even more fun when my scores are low. :-)
The best golf tips will mean nothing if you don't practice them. While you are out playing a round of golf is not the time to begin experimenting. Ignore it when your buddy, who has your best intentions in mind, tells you to try this on the next swing. Let him/her know you will file that away and try it the next time you hit a bucket of balls.
You can never tell when the next golf tip helps you correct that bad swing or shows you how to pick up an extra 10 yards off the driving tee. Many of the free golf tips you find here are written by club pros and golfers who are at the top of their game. Here is an example golf tip on putting.
I strongly recommend that you put a line on your golf ball and on your putter, like the picture, when practicing your putting. Then, you adjust your ball so the line on your ball is aiming directly at the hole (assuming that's your desired putting or target line). Then step back away from the ball and double check the aiming of the line on the ball from a step or two behind the ball.
Next, when you address your ball, all you have to do is line up the line on the putter with the line on the ball (like you see in the picture) and you will be good to go. Next, glance up at the hole to get a feel for the distance. Trust the line you have chosen and just concentrate on making a proper stroke.
